About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Data Engineer to architect and scale our data infrastructure from the ground up. As a core member of the data function within our Business Technology team, you will be responsible for building the pipelines and models that power smarter decision-making and operational efficiency across the entire organization.

In this foundational role, you will build and architect the modern data stack, ensuring our infrastructure is robust, automated, and governed. You will collaborate with GTM, Product, Finance, and P&C teams to build high-performance data models and pipelines that transform raw data into actionable cross-functional insights.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement scalable data modeling and architecture strategies
  • Build and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow)
  • Develop transformation layers using dbt to ensure high data quality and reliability
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
  • Manage and optimize cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake and BigQuery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale data infrastructure
  • Maintain a modern data stack including Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Looker, Tableau, and Airflow
  • Build scalable ETL/ELT workflows and real-time analytics systems
  • Create high-performance dashboards (Looker experience is a plus)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics
  • Experience building scalable cloud-based data pipelines
  • Strong experience with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
  • Expertise in Snowflake or BigQuery (performance tuning, cost optimization, RBAC)
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Composer)
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (macros, testing, documentation)
  • Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD
  • Ability to design fast, user-friendly dashboards
  • Experience defining business metrics (CAC, LTV, churn) with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with data ingestion tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, Workato, Mulesoft)
  • Experience working across full data lifecycle (ingestion → transformation → visualization)
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Chargbee, Gainsight, or product analytics platforms
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with IT or Business Technology teams
  • Exposure to customer success and revenue workflows
