Job Overview

Sunstack.ai is seeking a Systems Operator (GCP / Cloud Operations) to manage and improve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, supporting production systems built with Node.js, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes, primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This is a hybrid role requiring partial on-site work in the Lake Nona area of Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Opportunity to build and maintain infrastructure with Terraform
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Support backend services built with Node.js and REST APIs
• Monitor system health, performance, and security
• Troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure and applications
• Maintain documentation, backups, and recovery processes

Required Skills

• 3+ years experience with GCP, React
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, and containerized deployments
• Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience
• CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
• Scripting with Python and/or Bash
• Familiarity with Node.js and RESTful services, and Rust
• Must be located in the Central Florida area

Nice to Have

• Google Cloud certifications
• Production Kubernetes experience
• Cloud monitoring and observability tools
• DevOps or Cloud Engineering background
