Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of design experience in product design or UX design for a consumer-facing product.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

As a Senior Designer on AI Mode, you’ll be focused on driving the design and collaborating with product and engineering to ensure a positive user experience. You’ll take ownership of model-driven UI and layout in AI Mode responses, contribute to scalable UX patterns, and design intuitive features that leverage new model capabilities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

Lead projects focused on new product ideas and opportunities within AI Mode.

Use the latest vibe coding tools to power design and prototyping process.

Design user journeys on Google Search and AI Mode.

Work with cross-functional partners to create principles, system instructions, and auto-raters that govern AI experiences.
