MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

* 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.

* 4 years of experience in development or prototyping.
* Experience with design tools such as Figma.
* Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your
resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a
related field, or equivalent practical experience.

* 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
* Experience with brand expression and style.
* Proficiency in designing interfaces that use the Android platform.
* Understanding of user experience design and how motion design influences UI
and interaction design (and vice versa).

our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product
Management, to leverage user insights and create industry-leading products.

As a Visual Designer, you will rely on user-centered design methods to craft
industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution. You will
collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design
language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to
use.

As an L&T Visual Designer, you’ll drive multiple workstreams with a high level
of autonomy. You will operate as a lean team where self-reliance is key, though
you’ll be fully supported by our integrated VMCS (Visual, Motion, Content, and
Sound) design group. You will expect various portfolios and collaborate with
cross-functional partners on everything from System User Interface (UI) to
AI-driven features, avoiding the limitations of a single siloed workstream. You
will also contribute to the Android Pixel design system, ensuring L&T’s unique
requirements are integrated alongside handheld and other form factor standards.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 +
bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and
location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Drive ideation through your work and your taste, creative direction and
communication skills through high fidelity work or prototypes influences the
team’s strategy at large.
* Lead the design, communication, and implementation of your assigned area
wherein you are a close partner to engineering and advocates for quality and
accuracy.
* Partner with key User Experience (UX) and Product Manager (PM) stakeholders
during feature development phases, actively participating in workshops and
sprints when necessary.
* Manage the Android Pixel Design system on Laptops and Tablets (L&T) and the
proper use of common tokens, components and patterns, serving as a large
screen and desktop guidelines advocate while participating in the elaboration
of these guidelines with your peers and Developer Experience (DevEx).
* Deliver prototypes using Figma or vibe coding, including basic animation
specifications supported by our motion designers.
