Original Job Description

πŸš€ About Vektor
Vektor TMS is an AI-native B2B SaaS company building operational software for carriers and freight brokers across the U.S. and Europe. Freight logistics still runs on software that is slow, brittle, and manual β€” we are rebuilding it AI-first. Our platform brings dispatch, tracking, billing, settlements, payouts, and analytics into one system, with AI agents and automation embedded directly into the product: automating dispatch decisions, document processing, billing workflows, and customer communication.
Our Mission: The platform that runs your freight business and grows your bottom line.
Our Vision: Build the infrastructure layer the next generation of freight companies runs on.
We ship to real paying business customers every single week. Our team of 20+ works in a tight-knit environment where every voice truly matters β€” and where everyone builds with AI tools and agents daily.

🌍 Why this role is worth your attention

A global product, not outsourcing. You will work on an international B2B SaaS product used daily by logistics companies in the U.S. and Europe β€” owning outcomes, not executing someone else’s tickets.

Real growth, measured fairly. We run KPI-based promotion policies: your delivery metrics and outcomes β€” not politics or tenure β€” decide how fast you grow in role, scope, and compensation. Strong performers take on more ownership quickly.

AI-native career capital. You will work the way the best Silicon Valley teams work in 2026 β€” building with AI agents, automations, and vibe-coded tools every day. This experience compounds and travels with you.

Direct access to founders and customers. You will work directly with the CTO and COO, and face our end customers, integration partners, and strategic customers yourself β€” including on-site visits worldwide.

Real ownership from day one. Weekly releases with your name on them β€” shipped to customers, not to a backlog.

Remote to start. The position begins fully remote and will transition to office-based work as the team grows.
⚑ How we work
We hire for slope over intercept and high agency. We care less about where you trained than what you’ve shipped. At Vektor, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end β€” we embed full ownership and feature-led development: whoever drives a feature owns it from idea through delivery to the customer’s hands.
This is a startup, and roles here are fluid. Everyone does what the business needs, when it needs it. If tomorrow we need you to vibe code an improvement to our website, build a landing page for a campaign, polish our docs, or automate an internal workflow β€” you roll up your sleeves and do it. β€œThat’s not my job” doesn’t exist at Vektor.
We are a B2B SaaS startup, so our stakeholders are not only the team inside the company β€” they are our end customers, partners, integration partners, and strategic customers. You will communicate with all of them directly, and your work will be visible to them every week.

🚫 Who this role is NOT for
We believe in radical transparency, so read this carefully:

This is not a coordinator or ticket-groomer role. There is no BA, no PMO, and no one to write your task list β€” you write it. If you think you will need a BA or any supporting roles, please skip this position.

It is the wrong role if you wait for a fully-specified spec or written process before you act.

It is the wrong role if you’d rather route the building to someone else than direct AI agents yourself β€” or vibe code the tool yourself β€” and stand behind what you produce.

It is the wrong role if you don’t instinctively reach for AI before doing things manually β€” this environment will be a hard adjustment.

It is the wrong role if you want a fixed job description. This is a startup: today it’s release management, tomorrow it might be vibe coding a website improvement or building a tool for sales. If that excites you β€” great. If it annoys you β€” skip.
If you are ready to go into the trenches β€” execute, perform, and deliver exceptionally stable results β€” keep reading.

πŸ’» Responsibilities

Own release management end to end. We run weekly sprints and ship a release to customers at the end of each one. You own the rhythm: release readiness, quality bar, release notes (a must β€” every release), and the announcement to customers and partners.

Run product demos for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders β€” comfortable presenting the product live.

Build process automations and vibe code what the business needs. When your duties or the business need a tool β€” a status dashboard, a release-notes generator, a Linear/Slack automation, a reporting script, or even an improvement to our website β€” you build it yourself with AI: prototype it, ship it, maintain it. Your scope is whatever moves the business forward, not just classic PM duties.

Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).

Manage the full project lifecycle β€” from planning through implementation to delivery and closure.

Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies before they hit delivery.

Plan team capacity and workload; participate in roadmap planning and prioritization with founders.

Own delivery metrics: on-time weekly release rate, cycle time, lead time, predictability β€” and use them to make decisions. These same metrics feed your KPI-based growth path.

Prepare status reports and ensure transparent communication with all stakeholders β€” internal team, end customers, integration partners, and strategic customers.

Lead the team. Set the pace, hold the quality bar, close loops without reminders, and bring people with you.

Travel to our customers worldwide for on-site engagements when required.

πŸ“… What success looks like β€” your first 90 days

By day 30: you are shipping on the weekly release train and writing release notes customers actually read.

By day 60: you independently run customer demos, own a feature area end to end, and have shipped your first process automation.

By day 90: delivery predictability has measurably improved β€” cycle time is down, weekly releases ship on time, and at least one vibe-coded tool you built is in daily use by the team.

πŸ“ˆ Growth at Vektor
This is a role you can genuinely grow in. We run KPI-based promotion policies: your growth in scope, title, and compensation is tied to measurable delivery outcomes β€” release predictability, cycle time, customer satisfaction β€” reviewed on a regular cadence. No politics, no waiting for someone to leave. As Vektor scales across the U.S. and Europe, the person who owns delivery today is positioned to grow into Head of Delivery / Head of Product Operations as the team expands.

πŸ” Requirements

2+ years as a Project Manager in IT, ideally in a B2B SaaS or startup environment.

A proven track record of delivering results β€” shipped products, met deadlines, stable releases. Be ready to name the product, the scope, and what production actually looked like. Delivery is the key; coordination alone is not enough.

Hands-on Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) and cross-functional team management.

Strong team leadership β€” you lead the team, not just administrate the board.

Solid understanding of the SDLC and software development processes.

Excellent customer engagement skills combined with excellent delivery skills β€” you can run a demo, handle a strategic customer conversation, and still ship the release on Friday.

Experience with delivery metrics and data-driven decision-making.

Proactive mindset, systems thinking, high agency β€” you drive ambiguous problems to shipped outcomes without waiting for permission, and you close loops without being chased.

Genuine AI fluency as a daily habit. You already use AI tools and agents habitually β€” to draft specs, build prototypes, automate reporting and release notes, and prep demos (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n/Make, or similar). This is how you work, not something you’re exploring. You will demonstrate it live.

Ability to create process automations and vibe code working tools. You can go from β€œwe need X” to a working automation or internal tool using AI coding tools β€” without waiting for engineering capacity.

Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally to customers when required.

🦞 Nice to have

Experience with Linear (learnable β€” slope matters more than tools).

Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply-chain software.

PMP, PRINCE2, PSM, or equivalent certification.

🎯 What you will present during the process
We hire for demonstrated execution, not promises. Be ready to:

Present a mind map of how you approach delivery for a product like ours.

Present prototypes you have built or driven to production.

Present automations you personally built β€” workflows, agents, scripts, vibe-coded tools.

Demonstrate live how you work with AI tools and agents in your daily workflow.

🧭 Hiring process
Interview with a recruiter β†’ Test task β†’ Technical interview with CTO (incl. your presentations and live AI demo) β†’ Interview with the COO β†’ Offer. We keep the loop tight and respect your time.

✨ If this resonates with you β€” we’d be happy to receive your resume.
