The roles in the Quality Engineering job function focus on ensuring product and platform quality across applications, products and services through a balanced approach of quality engineering, manual testing and test automation. These roles include, but are not limited to test planning, test design, functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing, automation framework development, API and UI validation, defect management, test data preparation, quality metrics reporting, collaboration with engineering and business teams, and continuous improvement of testing standards, methods, tools and processes with responsible use of AI.

MA LTSS is part of OSGS (Optum State Government Solution) to support State of Massachusetts’ Long Term Support Services (LTSS). We support Providers providing LTSS support with solution to enable them to submit their enrolment/recredentialing applications, Trainings and Prior Authorization. Technology solution is built on Salesforce Service Cloud with external facing portal built on Salesforce Community Cloud.
Apply quality assurance best practices to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into clear, effective test cases.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leverage AI‑assisted tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude and Test.ai) to accelerate test case creation, improve coverage, and reduce manual effort across functional and regression testing
Build and enhance intelligent, self‑healing automation frameworks to minimize script maintenance and improve stability in dynamic UI and API environments
Applies prompt engineering to accelerate and optimize daily work items
Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging AI‑enabled testing capabilities
Perform hands-on manual testing, including system, integration, and regression testing
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium / Playwright with Java and Cucumber (BDD)
Execute automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
Work in an Agile environment with tools such as Rally, ensuring test cases, test execution, and defect tracking are maintained accurately
Participate in requirement gathering and clarification sessions with business stakeholders to understand upcoming system changes
Collaborate closely with development teams for defect triage, walkthroughs, and smooth handovers
Conduct UAT handover sessions with business teams to ensure system changes are transitioned effectively after QA sign-off
Track, document, and communicate quality metrics, and present them as part of Go / No-Go decisions
Mentor and guide junior QA team members on testing best practices, tools, and frameworks
Continuously adapt to new methodologies, platforms, and frameworks to support evolving business needs
Contribute to test strategy, risk assessment, and overall quality improvement initiatives

AI Builder Responsibilities:
Use GenAI tools (Copilot, Claude, Gemini AI) to ideate, prototype, and implement features efficiently
Apply Vibe coding techniques to maintain clean, expressive, and AI-augmented codebases
Develop internal tools and scripts using AI to automate repetitive tasks and improve productivity
Stay current with emerging GenAI trends, tools, and ethical considerations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong balance of manual and automation testing
Solid test scripting experience using Selenium / Playwright with Java and Cucumber
Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Rally or Jira
Experience in API testing using Postman/insomnia
Experience in API automation using Rest Assured
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
Familiarity with using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) for test case creation, test design, and automation acceleration
Proven expertise in test suite and test case design
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the salesforce applications.
Experience in 508 Accessibility testing
