Original Job Description
About Ethos
Ethos is a leading life insurance technology company on a mission to protect families by democratizing access to life insurance and empowering agents at scale. With its robust three-sided technology platform, Ethos is transforming the life insurance experience for consumers, agents, and carriers alike. Ethos offers instant, accessible products and a seamless online process that requires no medical exams and just a few health questions; it eliminates traditional barriers, making it easier than ever for everyone to protect their families. Ethos is redefining how life insurance is bought, sold, and underwritten.
About the role
We are seeking a data-obsessed, US-based Senior Growth Manager to own the post-lead, post-contact user journey for Ethos’s Annuities business — and, over time, other new product lines — focused on re-engagement, retention, and maximizing long-term customer value (LTV). Annuities is a higher-stakes B2C product than our core offerings: clients are committing $250K–$300K+, the sales cycle typically requires multiple agent conversations, and re-engagement is materially more important than in less complex product lines. Your job is to design how we get prospects back into the funnel and across the finish line across every channel, without burning agent time we can’t scale. You will operate as the re-engagement strategist on a shared OKR with the Lead PM, Annuities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Own the Annuities Re-Engagement Roadmap. Design and execute multi-channel campaigns to re-engage post-lead, post-contact prospects and move them along a multi-call, high-consideration sales journey.
Relieve Agent Load. Build interventions — email content, SMS sequences, landing pages, self-serve tools — that push clients along the funnel without requiring agent time on every touch. Agent scaling is a hard constraint; your job is to relieve it.
Build Across Three Modes of Re-Engagement: 1) Triggered messaging. Event-driven outbound on the right cadence and channel mix. 2) Agent-personalized follow-up. Tooling and templates that let an agent send the right three articles / dashboards / calculators after a call, fast — and that get smarter over time so the same set isn’t sent to everyone. And 3) Self-serve client tools. Interactive scenario calculators, dashboards, and member-portal experiences that let clients move themselves along — comparing an annuity vs. a 401(k), modeling income, etc.
Lifecycle Automation. Build, test, and optimize complex sequences across channels using our CRM / Marketing Automation platforms. Partner with the offshore ops team for execution — bandwidth on ops is not the bottleneck; strategy, decision-making, and creative are.
Experimentation & A/B Testing. Run high-velocity tests on subject lines, send times, channel mix, offer structures, and landing-page variants. Report on statistical significance and roll out winners.
Data & Segmentation. Work with the Data team to build dynamic user segments. Ensure the right message hits the right user at the exact moment of intent.
Qualifications and Skills:
6+ Years of Experience. Senior-level track record in Lifecycle / Re-Engagement, Growth Product, or CRM at a B2C Tech, FinTech, Insurtech, or Marketplace company. Higher-consideration / higher-AOV product experience strongly preferred.
Multi-Channel Mindset. You think natively across email, SMS, voice / conversational AI, push, in-app, and on-page experiences. You do not believe email is the center of the universe.
Vibe-Coding / Hands-On Building. You can spin up your own landing pages and lightweight web experiences (e.g., using AI coding tools) to test variants without engineering hand-holding.
Technical CRM Proficiency. Hands-on expertise with enterprise marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Customer.io, HubSpot, or similar). You build workflows without hand-holding.
Analytical Mindset & SQL. Fluent in Lift, Statistical Significance, Cohort Retention, and LTV. SQL is required (not bonus) — you write your own queries to pull lists and analyze performance.
Copywriting Chops. Subject lines that get opened and body copy that drives action — especially in a higher-consideration financial-product context where trust and clarity matter.
PM Collaboration. You’ve worked on a shared goal / OKR with a PM before and have a strong sense of when to lead, when to follow, and how to drive decisions across a cross-functional team.
