Paid Time Off: 20 days of vacation per year, accruing at a rate of 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years of employment

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Linguistics,or a related field or or equivalent practical experience.

7 years of experience in Conversation Design, Content Design, with equivalent experience designing for conversational AI/LLMs.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in vibe-coding and developing AI-powered prototypes.

Experience in guiding cross-functional teams through ideation, validation, and iteration processes, transforming abstract ideas into shippable products.

Experience developing in a startup environment, comfortable with the ambiguity, rapid iteration, and resourcefulness required to deliver impactful designs in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.

Experience in interaction design.

Familiarity with behavioral data and strong capability to create data-driven designs, while being equally capable of moving forward in the absence of data.

We are seeking a highly experienced, visionary designer to shape the evolution of conversational AI from a passive responder into a proactive partner.

As a senior member of the Gemini App Model UX team, you will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and research scientists to build end-to-end product experiences to improve people’s engagement with Gemini across use cases. Responsibilities

Apply deep understanding of model capabilities to guide prompt engineering and prototyping strategies, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality model outputs.

Initiate qualitative assessments of model performance, applying mastery of the eval process to develop a strategy for continuous quality hillclimbing.

Partner with AI product designers to craft leading-edge multimodal solutions, ensuring model responses and UI components work in concert to deliver cohesive, high quality experiences.

Stay current on the latest design trends and technologies, in consumer technology, generative AI and natural language processing, and leverage this knowledge to innovate.
